Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Project Engineer for our Denver, CO manufacturing facility. You will manage capital projects from concept through completion, coordinating internal teams and external vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in process manufacturing projects, with strong analytical and PMI/PMO fundamentals. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing capital projects in a process manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Experience in the food industry and consumer packaged goods is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with corporate and plant engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute all aspects of capital projects, including budget, schedule, scope, procurement, installation, and close-out.
• Maintain project budgets and cash flow projections with status reports.
• Coordinate external engineering firms and vendors as needed.
• Monitor progress and ensure KPI targets are met.
• Lead scope, cost estimation, and scheduling with internal stakeholders.
• Select and issue contracts for construction firms through bidding and vetting.
