Terracon is seeking an experienced engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead engineering investigations, analyses, and reporting across diverse projects. You will review designs, supervise staff, and coordinate proposals, budgets, and scopes with clients and teams.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and mentorship, with opportunities to advance toward senior project reviewer certification as you lead complex assignments and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Provide and ensure consistent quality on proposals and deliveries.
• Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
• Independently perform varied projects or segments of larger projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of work.
• Collaborate with senior project managers for larger assignments.
• Make design, engineering and construction recommendations.
• Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
• Mentor graduate, field and project engineering staff.
• Interact with clients and project teams on scope, progress, and findings.
• Prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services.
