Job summary

Terracon is seeking a qualified engineer to provide engineering and consulting services across a broad range of projects including public works, transportation, commercial, and industrial sectors. You will perform field investigations, engineering analyses, and report preparation, and assist in design development and plans inspection under a Professional Engineer and Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years’ experience preferred.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) required.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Provide engineering analysis, calculations and recommendations.
• Assist in developing scope of work for routine projects.
• Assist in preparation of cost estimates, specifications and other documents.
• Review drawings and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Coordinate field investigations, laboratory testing and evaluation of data.
• Develop plans and schedules and manage project work under supervision.
• Communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non‑technical clients and project teams.
• Support senior project managers and Professional Engineer of Record in project delivery.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Master’s degree in Engineering preferred

EIT or EI required
