Job summary

Terracon Corporation seeks an entry‑level engineer to provide Engineering consulting services across diverse projects. The role includes field investigations, data analysis, and preparation of plans and reports for review by senior engineers.

You will work under supervision to develop scope, cost estimates, and design recommendations while coordinating with project teams and clients. A Bachelor’s degree and driving privileges are required; a Master’s degree is preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 0–3 years’ experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Demonstrate quality practices and acumen.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Manage and execute small projects of minimal complexity.
• Assist in developing scope of work for routine projects.
• Assist in preparation of cost estimates, specifications, and related documents.
• Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for PE review.
• Coordinate field investigations, lab testing and data evaluation.
• Develop plans, schedules and coordinate detailed project work.
• Work with senior project manager and Professional Engineer of Record to gain experience.
• Make design recommendations for review by the Professional Engineer of Record.
• Prepare scopes, proposals, reports and plans for approval by senior professionals.
• May supervise field staff including engineers and technicians.
• Interact with client and project team to define scope and progress.
