Job summary

Cowtown Materials, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to identify opportunities, build customer relationships, and manage bids from take-off to award. You will work with the sales team and contractors to secure projects and ensure accurate cost estimation.

Responsibilities include submittal preparation, shop drawings, site visits, and coordinating with vendors and field personnel to ensure quality installation. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 18 months PM or estimating experience.
• 18 months of construction industry experience with drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
• 18 months with CAD and Revit.
• 12 months of sales and marketing within building industry.
• 12 months of cost estimation.
• 12 months of quantity take-off.
• 12 months with Bluebeam or similar take-off software or OST.
• 12 months with Dodge Data, ISqft, Construct Connect bidding platforms.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential jobs and customers, build relationships, and close bid work.
• Collaborate with sales team to close jobs.
• Facilitate leads through General Contractors, End Users, and Institutions.
• Review specs to inform market conditions for our door division.
• Prepare submittals and shop drawings for approval.
• Perform site visits and advise field personnel.
• Investigate damages or delays with vendors/insurance.
• Prepare specialty product proposals for sales staff and customers.
• Conduct take-offs and cost estimations for proposals.
• Provide conceptual cost estimates and feasibility studies for pre-construction.
• Manage projects from order to installation; liaise between vendors, purchasers, sales, and contractors.
