Job summary

Cowtown Materials, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for our Fort Worth, TX location. The role involves identifying potential projects, building client relationships, and closing bid work, while coordinating with sales and field teams to ensure quality installation of specialty ceiling products.

You will review specifications, prepare submittals and shop drawings, conduct site visits, perform take-offs, and generate cost estimates for proposals, with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 18 months of experience in Project Management or Estimating.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential jobs and customers, build relationships, and close bid work.
  • Collaborate with sales team to close jobs and facilitate leads through contractors and end users.
  • Review specifications to inform owners/architects and ensure proper construction procedures.
  • Prepare submittals and shop drawings for owner/architect approval.
  • Perform site visits to oversee work and advise field personnel.
  • Investigate damages to reverse schedule delays with vendors/insurance.
  • Prepare cost estimates and take-offs for proposals and pre-construction feasibility studies.
  • Manage projects from order through installation and liaise between vendors, purchasers, sales staff and contractors.
