Job summary

Walsh Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer I to join our Nashville, TN team on a multi-billion dollar campus project. You will assist the project team with document control, procurement coordination, and daily field support while developing your leadership skills on visible, complex work.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and collaboration with trade partners. Candidates with internships or early career experience and a Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply for growth

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience can include internships, co-ops, or prior employment.
• Computer skills required, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.

Responsibilities

• Document control (drawing revisions, RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.).
• Assist and support the project team with daily coordination—Procurement and expediting of construction materials.
• Front line Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks and monitoring—Mock-up coordination and reviews.
• Coordination of trade partners.
• Production tracking of trade partners and self-perform crews.
• Project photography and other documentation for progress reporting.
• Manage construction equipment logs with the Superintendent(s).
• Participate in safety management and culture development.
• Cost estimating and schedule analysis for change orders.
• Project site inspections and checklist completion.
