Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Titusville, FL is seeking a Project Engineer/Control Account Manager to coordinate program requirements and deliverables with the Program Team and customers. You will manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for one or more Control Accounts in support of the Operations Directorate.

The role requires CAM/EVM experience, strong project planning, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience.
  • Cam and/or EVM experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in project management or project engineering.
  • Developing and executing program or project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across multiple functions.
  • Experience in Metrics development and tracking.
  • Experience in MS Office tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all cost, technical, and schedule aspects of one or more Control Accounts.
  • Developing a baseline plan and managing overall execution of support organizations.
  • Coordinate deliveries and program requirements to ensure contract commitments are met.
  • Supporting team tag-ups with Subcontract Managers, Program Managers, Execution Team leads, Directors and CAMs.
  • Leading/Supporting weekly schedule status meetings, EV reviews, and monthly cost/schedule reviews.
  • Supporting the Risk Management process by identifying, documenting, and managing contract risks and mitigation plans.

This position is for a Project Engineer (PE)/Control Account Manager (CAM) supporting the Operations Directorate. As the PE/CAM you will be responsible for coordinating with the Program Team, other CAMs, Finance counterparts, Subcontract Administrators, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure that program requirements and deliverables are met.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Managing all cost, Technical, and schedule aspects of one or more Control Accounts
  • Developing a baseline plan and managing overall execution of support organizations
  • Working with the Program Team, Engineering Team, Control Account Managers, Subcontract Management, and the customer to coordinate deliveries and program requirements to ensure that contract commitments are met
  • Supporting team tag-ups with Subcontract Managers, Program Managers, Execution Team leads, Directors and Control Account Managers
  • Leading/Supporting weekly schedule status meetings, EV reviews, monthly Program Cost and Schedule Reviews and the reporting of data and metrics
  • Supporting the Risk Management process by helping identify, document, and manage contract risks and mitigation plans
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement and digital transformation within your responsible program scope

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) and/or Earned Value Management (EVM) experience or equivalent comparable experience
  • Previous Project Management or Project Engineering experience or equivalent comparable experience
  • Developing and executing program or project plans experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across multiple functions;
  • Experience in Metrics development and tracking
  • Experience in MS Office tools
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills
  • CAM Certification or PMI/PMP Certification
  • Prior Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) or equivalent missile program experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
  • Previous Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation experience
  • Previous Risk and Opportunity Management development and tracking experience
  • Developing and executing program or project plans experience
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
