Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in setup, management, and closeout of doors, frames, and hardware projects at regional offices or jobsites. You will plan, schedule, and execute project activities to meet objectives and ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and procurement skills, with exposure to submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and cost control. Local candidates preferred; not remote.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, think critically, and solve problems.
• Must read/write/speak English clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all WPI policies and safety programs.
• Actively participate in safety plans and measures on projects.
• Review contract language, scope of work, and special provisions.
• Assist with buyout and procurement of materials, subs, and engineering quotes.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Support and visit job sites and participate in meetings as required.
• Price change requests and budget updates.
• Prepare, review, and report weekly productions.
• Review weekly job cost with Foreman and team.
• Prepare billings and approve invoices; track progress and spending.
