Job summary

Maxim Crane Works LP seeks a Project Engineer to support the team in designing lift plans, assessing crane/equipment requirements, and developing detailed drawings and specifications for installations. You will gather data, perform calculations, and prepare ground-bearing and structural reports for tower crane projects.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 0–4 years of related experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD; EIT is preferred. Some site travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
  • EIT Certification preferred.
  • 0–4 years of engineering experience.
  • Advanced geometry and statics knowledge; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews project drawings and plans to verify designs, perform calculations, and ensure accuracy and standards.
  • Develops crane layout and rigging details for lifts in various settings.
  • Liaises with Architects, Engineers, contractors, and team members to gather information and establish project requirements.
  • Creates and presents structural overviews and reports with technical details and big-picture analysis.
  • Uses AutoCAD and drafting software to create 2D designs and 3D models per client needs.
  • Prepares documentation for customers covering project plans, progress, and deliverables.
