Job summary

Maxim Crane Works LP is seeking a Project Engineer to support our fleet of rental equipment and installation projects. You will review drawings, develop crane layouts, and prepare detailed design reports and lift plans in collaboration with architects, engineers, and field staff.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering with 0–4 years of experience; EIT is preferred and 3D AutoCAD skills are advantageous. Travel to project sites is limited.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Civil Engineering; EIT preferred.
• 0–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Advanced geometry and statics knowledge.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills; ability to prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project drawings and plans; performs checks and validates designs.
• Develops crane layout and rigging details for lifts for various settings.
• Gathers information with architects, engineers, and field staff to define project requirements.
• Creates structural overviews and reports with technical details for engineers and stakeholders.
• Uses AutoCAD and other drafting tools to produce 2D drawings and 3D models as required.
• Prepares customer documentation, drawings, and design reports.
