Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a Project Engineer (Cost Management) to support the project team with a cost-management focus while learning Ryan processes and policies.

You will assist in financial management of assigned projects, including budget management, cost projections, and profit projections. Gain exposure to responsible cost controls and change management on critical projects, collaborating with the team and Owner during monthly pay applications and project

Qualifications

• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations and read drawings, POs, contracts and cost-coding systems.
• Able to interface and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring job costs.
• Prepare Potential Change Orders and review subcontractor requests; forecast costs.
• Conduct project close-out duties including reconciliations.
• Gain knowledge of overall construction processes.
• Attend monthly pay application walks with Ryan and Owner.
• Participate in owner/client presentations.

Job Description:

Ryan Companies has an immediate need for a Project Engineer (Cost Management) for its Mission Critical operation in Atlanta, Georgia. The Project Engineer will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a cost management focus, and an emphasis on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

This critical role will be primarily responsible to support the financial management of assigned projects, assisting the Cost Project Managers in budget management, change management, cost projections, and profit projections.

Some things you can expect to do:

• Assist in monitoring job costs.
• Participate in the preparation of Potential Change Orders, review of subcontractor change requests, monitor and forecast General Conditions and General Requirements costs in coordination with the project team, review monthly pay applications and supporting documentation and support the overall cost management of the project.
• Conduct project close-out duties, including subcontract and prime contract reconciliation.
• Gain knowledge of overall construction processes.
• Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on monthly pay application job walks.
• Participate in owner/client presentations.

• A bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
• Able to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.
