Job summary

OTTO Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to manage all aspects of product development from concept to production. You will coordinate engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, production, and partners to achieve project goals on time.

Set deadlines, assign tasks, and monitor new team members. Responsibilities include preparing status reports for upper management, maintaining phase-gate discipline, and applying problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (ME, EE, General) required.
• Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and planning abilities.
• Hands-on engineering experience from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop product requirements and project milestones.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties for project execution.
• Apply project management tools to maintain schedule and budget.
• Address root cause issues and contingency planning with the team.
• Present monthly project reviews to senior management.
• Maintain and update NRE hours, tooling, part costs, and test costs.
• Manage BOMs and engineering change notices.
• Run weekly cross-functional project meetings.
