Job description

Looking for a construction opportunity that's a little different from the traditional Project Engineer role?

We are partnering with a well-established Denver commercial General Contractor seeking a detail-oriented, technically savvy construction professional to join its onsite team at Denver International Airport.

This unique, hands-on position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced construction professionals on a wide variety of technical projects, including tenant improvements, renovations, mechanical and electrical systems, and infrastructure upgrades. Rather than working on one traditional construction project, you'll gain exposure to multiple construction disciplines, see firsthand how different building systems come together, and develop valuable experience in one of Colorado's most dynamic construction environments. The role combines construction coordination, technical drawings, and BIM/VDC technology with meaningful time spent in the field.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, designers, and trade partners on active construction projects.
  • Review construction drawings and models to identify discrepancies, coordination issues, and potential field challenges.
  • Support BIM/VDC activities, including model updates, revisions, and technical documentation.
  • Spend time in the field observing construction activities, verifying existing conditions, and connecting drawings and models to actual construction.
  • Assist with project documentation and communication between project teams.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, architectural, and other building systems.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and understand basic building systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude and an interest in BIM/VDC and construction technology.
  • Exposure to Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar software is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable asking questions when something doesn't make sense.
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in working with both office and field teams.
