Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) in Mesa, AZ seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead and supervise engineering for new construction and expansion projects, with value engineering and budget oversight.

You will collaborate with operations, develop budgets, schedules, construction specs, bid packages, and maintain records, while traveling as needed. A ABET-accredited bachelor's in electrical engineering and strong MS Office/PM software skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on fast-track projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects of varied complexity.
• Able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations team to define scope, develop budgets and schedule.
• Design and/or supervise and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects.
• Complete designs and provide value engineering.
• Develop construction specifications, bid packages, budget cost estimates, construction schedules, permitting, etc., to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Develop, establish, and maintain engineering budgets.
• Coordinate and account for changes in scope of work.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project.
• Ability to travel.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
