Job Description

NOVA Engineering is hiring a Project Field Engineer to work on Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects from our Charlotte, NC office. This opportunity allows you to work on prestigious projects in the southeastern U.S. with excellent career advancement prospects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for various projects (Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
• Assisting with project management & reporting
• Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils/foundations, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Report preparation
• Client consultation and maintenance
• Supporting team members to promote company objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 2+ years of CMT field experience (preferred)
• EI / EIT license (required, passed FE exam)
• Airport paving experience (highly preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office work, with occasional travel
