Job summary

Glazing Solutions in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Project Engineer to support design/build and self-perform projects from design through completion.

This role covers scheduling, bidding, permitting, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, subcontracts, owner coordination, quality, and project closeout. You will work closely with the Superintendent to manage subcontractors, monitor labor and costs, and help drive value engineering while maintaining safety and compliance across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Eng, or related field.
• 1–5 years in commercial project management.
• Design-Build experience is ideal.
• Active jobsite experience with strong safety record.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specs and inspection reports.
• Strong knowledge of Building Code and Safety Regulations.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and vendors.
• Proficiency with Procore and BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• Influence, negotiate, and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and co-workers.
• Contribute to the project schedule and close-out process.
• Assist Superintendent in the management of subcontractors.
• Monitor project labor, project costs, and equipment needs.
• Participate in the design development process to value engineer construction methods.
• Assist in preconstruction, quality, and safety processes.
• Establish schedules and budgets, responsible for overall project delivery.
• Ensure contractor compliance of safety/OSHA requirements on all job sites.
• Manage submittal process, change order negotiations and contract compliance.
• Writing submittals, and RFI's.
• Establish effective relationships and foster collaboration.
