Job summary

The Onni Group of Companies is seeking a Project Engineer to lead management of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and reports across a Chicago project. You will coordinate between Project Management staff and Superintendent staff on design, procurement, schedule, and field issues.

Responsibilities include preconstruction support, cost estimation help, vendor prequalification, and active tracking of permits, procurement, and change orders.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Project Management or related field.
• Knowledge of construction and building codes required.
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Windows and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preconstruction, estimating, coordination, execution, and closeout of construction projects.
• Report to Superintendent/Project Manager and coordinate with field staff and subcontractors.
• Manage document control including drawings, specifications, and other submittals.
• Attend meetings, prepare minutes, and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
