Job summary

Lee Construction Group is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering and 5 years of experience in commercial construction.

You will manage project schedules and budgets, ensure compliance and safety, and collaborate with subcontractors. Enjoy competitive salary and a range of benefits including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial construction experience (concrete and rebar experience is a plus).
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Help manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Read and apply construction plans and specs.
• Keep everything safe and compliant.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Report progress to the project leader.

Skills

Knowledge of building materials, methods, and tools

Math whiz (arithmetic, algebra, geometry)

Blueprint reading skills

Top-notch communication and problem-solving abilities

Tech-savvy (Procore knowledge is a plus)

Strong safety focus (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30 certifications)
