Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer for our commercial construction projects in Lenexa, Kansas. You will support project managers, manage submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications, and help coordinate procurement with vendors and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes project controls, collaboration with leadership, and exposure to education, healthcare, corporate, and community projects in a growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience considered).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project workflows.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with procurement processes, including vendor and subcontractor coordination and material tracking.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposals and preparing change orders.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure alignment across all project phases.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
