Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in the Hampton Roads, VA area. This full-time, direct-postion will contribute to multi-discipline design projects and support private site development and municipal initiatives across markets.

Responsibilities include managing schedules and budgets, meeting with clients, preparing proposals, and developing Land Development Plans with drawings, specs, and reports. Mentoring junior staff and coordinating permits are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in land development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multiple projects while monitoring schedules and budgets.
• Meet regularly with clients.
• Prepare proposals and estimate project fees.
• Develop Land Development Plans including drawings, specs, and reports.
• Coordinate permits with regulatory agencies for large-scale projects.
• Mentor Junior Engineers and Drafters on SWM, utility coordination, and E&C design.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
