Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support project management and engineering activities on a Farmington, NM project. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and field staff to ensure schedules, drawings, RFIs, and shop drawings are managed efficiently.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of construction experience, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills. Travel to project locations and offices will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; knowledge of Primavera.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Detail-oriented with good multitasking and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with day-to-day project management.
• Review drawings, submittals, schedules, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor quality, safety, and environmental programs.
• Coordinate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and workforce.
• Maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Attend and lead meetings as required.
