Job summary

Ames Construction in Farmington, NM seeks a Project Engineer to support project management on a challenging site. You will work with the Project Manager, engineers, and field staff to ensure project success from planning to closeout.

Ideal candidates bring a construction background, strong communication, and proficiency in Primavera and MS Office. Travel to project locations and regional offices is expected, with a focus on safety and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience.
• Competent in Primavera and MS Office.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer in daily management tasks.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and RFIs.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
• Assist with monthly billings and cash flow projections.
• Manage document control including submittals, contracts, and drawings.
• Support delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials.
• Resolve field problems with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead or participate in meetings and promote safety.
