Job summary

Emery Oleochemicals is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and facility improvement projects in our Cincinnati chemical manufacturing environment. You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS to meet safety, schedule, and budget objectives.

The role requires 3–7 years of relevant experience, a technical engineering degree, and a strong ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
• PE certification or progress toward licensure preferred.
• PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
• 3–7 years of engineering or capital project management experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and facility improvement projects from concept through closeout.
• Develop scopes, technical specs, cost estimates, schedules, and ROI justifications.
• Coordinate design activities across mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to identify improvement needs.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost control; manage requisitions and expenditures.
• Develop bid packages and evaluate proposals; assist vendor selection.
• Coordinate contractors and external resources; review technical deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Support process safety activities (MOC, PHA, PSSR) and regulatory programs.
• Oversee commissioning, startup, turnover, and documentation updates.
