Job summary

Emery Oleochemicals Group in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital and facility improvement projects in a chemical manufacturing setting. You will guide projects from scope development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and contractors to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.

The role requires 3–7 years of relevant experience, a engineering degree, and strong knowledge of P&IDs, process

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
3-7 years of engineering/capital project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
PE certification or progress toward licensure preferred; PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage capital and facility improvement projects from concept through final implementation and closeout.
Develop project scopes, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and capital expenditure justifications.
Coordinate engineering design activities across mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, controls, civil, and structural disciplines.
Work with Operations and Maintenance to identify equipment reliability, infrastructure, and process improvements.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, purchase requisitions, and contractor costs.
