Job summary

WEILER INC in Knoxville, IA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the design, documentation, building and testing of new off-road equipment solutions. You will support product design across production, sales, service and troubleshooting and ensure designs meet customer needs.

You will coordinate technical activities, review design changes, work with management and staff, create manufacturable CAD prints, plan testing, analyze issues with FEA and material strength calculations, and help develop

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Proficient with CAD and FEA; strong problem-solving and design skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with management, production, sales, service and marketing.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and integrate technical activities for engineering projects.
Review or approve product design changes.
Confer with management, production, sales, service and marketing staff to discuss product specifications.
Design and detail purchased items, machining, weld and assembly prints using CAD for manufacturability and safety.
Plan or direct testing and supervision of prototype and production machines.
Analyze production issues and create solutions.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
