Job summary

Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support projects from early design through closeout. You will work with project teams, design partners, and subcontractors to ensure on-time deliveries, accurate information, and precise field execution.

The role requires a four-year degree in construction or related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency with MS Office, Procore, ASTA PowerProject, SketchUp, and AutoCAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited university or college in construction or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Review submittals and shop drawings, coordinate material deliveries, and manage document control to support schedule and budget.
• Support the Project Manager with project finances by preparing monthly pay applications, processing invoices, estimating change orders, and participating in closeout and job cost reviews.
• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent by interpreting drawings and specifications, assisting with production analysis, and responding to inquiries from craft and subcontractors.
• Participate in creating and updating the project schedule.
• Assist bid teams with quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and subcontractor outreach.
• Help organize and run weekly coordination meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes.
• Assist in writing and executing purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Engage in safety efforts, including safety meetings and weekly audits.
• Maintain quality control documentation and support inspections.
