Job summary

Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction efforts from concept to completion, coordinating teams and maintaining budgeting, scheduling, and quality. You will guide projects with hands-on leadership and maintain strong relationships with clients.

You will oversee cost control, procurement, and bid processes, while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Four-year degree in construction or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Ability to understand labor, material, and subcontract costs, and analyze reports for effective project management.
• Preferred experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, ASTA Powerproject, SketchUp, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost and contract control, including managing job cost and change orders.
• Create and maintain a monthly CPM schedule, identifying recovery tactics.
• Lead the buyout process by developing subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Conduct weekly project staff, subcontractor, and Owner meetings.
• Ensure safety and quality control in project planning and execution.
• Participate in or lead the preconstruction process, including estimates and bid packages.
• Support business development through proposals, interviews, networking, and relationship building.
• Lead and develop project staff through mentorship and accountability.
