Job summary

Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead critical commercial construction projects from concept to completion.

You will guide teams, coordinate scheduling, budgeting, and quality, ensuring the project scope is delivered on time and within budget. Ideal candidates have 5+ years supervising commercial builds, a four-year construction degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Four-year degree in construction or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Ability to understand labor, material, and subcontract costs, and analyze reports for effective project management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost and contract control, including managing job cost and change orders, understanding contract language and risk, preparing pay applications, processing budget adjustments, supporting monthly project status reporting, and understanding insurance and bonding requirements.
• Create and maintain a monthly CPM schedule, including identifying recovery tactics and schedule improvements.
• Lead the buyout process by developing subcontract agreements and purchase orders; manage procurement and document control.
• Conduct weekly project staff, subcontractor, and/or Owner meetings to review critical project information.
• Ensure safety and quality control are built into all project planning and executed consistently in the field.
• Participate in or lead the preconstruction process, including preparing estimates, developing bid packages, conducting subcontractor/supplier outreach, executing bid-day analysis, and engaging in bid teams.
• Support business development efforts by participating in proposals, interviews, networking, and relationship‑building within the construction community.
• Lead and develop project staff through mentorship, training, and cultivating accountability across the team .
