Job summary

O'Brien Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer to support a ground-up project in Centerville, OH and additional work across Ohio. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and uphold high construction standards.

The role emphasizes safety, detailed documentation, and proactive problem-solving in a collaborative team. A strong commitment to learning and career growth is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and plans.
• Manage document control, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries and resolve issues.
• Assist with estimating extra work and expediting project tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve project challenges and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in the Job Rotation Program across construction disciplines.
