Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the introduction of new fixed assets, relocating and optimizing the asset base and handling purchases from concept through closeout. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with sites, markets, and engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

You will manage design for long-term ROIC, control costs, train operators, and deliver comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering required; mechanical, chemical, or electrical preferred.
• 3–5 years of technical experience in project engineering/management.
• Strong project management and leadership skills are essential.
• Knowledge of plant design and food safety requirements is important.
• Understanding of CAPEX budgeting and CIAT processes is required.
• Travel up to 10% may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage clear and open communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure client requirements are maintained in line with business needs.
• Design projects for long-term ROIC and cost efficiency.
• Direct design toward low cost, high efficiency, and flexible operation.
• Maintain safe work sites and easy-to-operate installations with proper documentation after commissioning.
• Coordinate with external engineering services, contractors, and suppliers with clear scope and milestones.
• Prepare monthly project progress reports and track milestones.
• Ensure project scope is met within cost and timing constraints.
• Train operators and transfer equipment to the client with complete documentation.
• Complete a final project report for key stakeholders.
