Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in North America is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to support safe, reliable aluminum extrusion operations. You will lead projects, improve equipment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance, operations, quality, and other engineering teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of manufacturing experience, with strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, CAD, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with aluminum extrusion or metals processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for extrusion presses, heating and handling systems, saws, and related equipment.
• Lead equipment reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, throughput, and operating costs.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical equipment and process issues and develop corrective actions.
• Design, modify, and improve equipment, components, tooling, and mechanical systems.
• Lead capital projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and startup.
