Job summary

Tylent in California is seeking a Lead Project Engineer – New Product Development to drive aerospace projects across IPTs, from concept through production.

You will work with Designers, Engineers, Fabrication, Supply Chain and Test Lab to analyze, design and implement new product designs and improvements in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Ideal candidate has manufacturing background and strong NPD experience in hydraulic or pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• BS Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Experience as Sr Mechanical Design Engineer (NPD) now PM or Project Engineer in Aerospace.
• Manufacturing background required.
• 3+ years with hydraulic/fluid components (pumps, actuators, valves, manifolds, accumulators, power units, reservoirs, filtration).
• Reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA OR Torrance, CA or Glendale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD projects across IPTs for applications, design, analysis, process development and manufacturing.
• Implement product designs and improvements through all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, Fabrication, Supply Chain, and Test Lab.

Job description

Location: Either Glendale, CA OR Irvine, CA OR Torrance, CA (Onsite)

This role must work on-site M-F at either Glendale , CA, OR Torrance, CA OR Irvine, CA.

The Lead Project Engineer – New Product Development will have the opportunity to work with experts across Aerospace in functions such as Designers, Engineers, Fabrication, Supply Chain, Test Lab and one or more Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for applications, design, analyze, process development, manufacturing and implement product designs and improvements in all phases of a product development lifecycle.

This role support projects within our FMC (Fluid, Motion, Control) division. Candidate MUST have significant experience with Hydraulic Actuators or Pneumatic in design and NPD ( new product development). Aerospace preferred.. other sectors will be considered. MFG background a MUST.

Ideal Candidate:

• BS Aerospace or Mechanical in Engineering degree
• Some who came up from a Sr Mechanical Design Engineer (NPD ..) and is currently in a PM or Project Engineer role within Aerospace sector. Engineering degree a MUST.
• Manufacturing background a MUST
• 3+ years of experience with Hydraulic / Fluid level components such as pumps, actuators, valves (directional control, proportional control, servo), manifolds, accumulators, power units, reservoirs, filtration systems, fluid connector
• Reside within 50 miles or Irvine, CA OR Torrance, CA or Glendale CA
