Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full‑time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) C‑17 Avionics & Flight Controls (AVFC) team is seeking a C‑17 Project Integration Engineer to perform Integration activities in support of current and future development programs.

This position reports to the Avionics Capability Delivery Manager for the AVFC organization. A key attribute of this position is the ability to accomplish assigned engineering integration tasks under minimal instruction, and articulate both progress and help needed across geographically diverse teams. Areas of execution could include avionics development, software testing, verification & validation, and technical publications. Successful candidates can drive successful outcomes through understanding the responsibilities, tasks and products of various engineering departments/disciplines, the interaction between them, and how their products/processes affect one another.

The successful Integrator possesses a wide range of project management, engineering, organizational, and communication skills. This includes the ability to build a successful multi‑disciplined team to plan/organize/execute in alignment with the organization’s project schedules. They interact with internal and external customers, proactively seeking information to understand customers’ circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Developing an understanding of the products and processes to visualise challenges as or before they arise, and the maturity to develop mitigation plans, is essential to success in this position. Success for Integration is graded by ability to drive generation of the project’s products, from requirements through validation, and to be prepared for delivery without adverse effect to the planned fielding date.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the Boeing location in Oklahoma City, OK.
