Job summary

MFA Incorporated is seeking an engineer to plan, design, and construct MFA operations facilities. You will read and interpret drawings and specifications, plan and procure assets, and provide engineering support across locations.

The role involves cost estimating, NH3 safety systems, automation testing, and maintaining engineering databases to support efficient facility operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in accredited engineering program or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in State of MO (or will obtain).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and construct location facilities.
• Oversee repairs to buildings and infrastructure.
• Prepare cost estimates within 10% of actual costs.
• Coordinate NH3 emergency shut-off systems installation.
• Support beta testing of automation and new electronic controls.
• Maintain facility engineering databases and procure parts.

They will read and interpret legal descriptions, building and equipment drawings, plans, and specifications, as well as plan, design, specify, procure, and/or construct physical assets for MFA operations at all locations. This also includes planning, building construction, equipment construction, site planning, budgeting, and estimating. Additionally, they will provide engineering and technical assistance for processes such as material handling and chemical handling.
