Job summary

Elford in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of construction experience via internships, co-ops, or employment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam/Primavera P6 or similar is a plus.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn to grow toward a construction career.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and startup activities.
• Assist with project documentation: RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, logs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams for safe, efficient progress.
• Track shop drawings, material procurement, and equipment deliveries.
• Maintain project schedules and monitor progress.
• Participate in meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Review and process invoices, change requests, and related documents.
• Collect as-built drawings, closeout docs, warranties, and operation manuals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Estimating, and Operations to support objectives.
• Learn processes and tools for managing construction projects end-to-end.

• Assist with maintaining project schedules and monitoring project progress.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and process invoices, change requests, and other project-related documentation.
• Collect and organize as-built drawings, closeout documents, warranties, and operation manuals.
• Partner with Accounting, Estimating, and Operations teams to support project objectives.
• Learn the processes and tools necessary to successfully manage construction projects from start to finish.

What We're Looking For
