Job summary

Cleanwater1, Inc. in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Project Engineer to work with cross-functional teams to execute standard and custom projects in the water and wastewater markets.

Qualifications

UGSI Chemical Feed, Inc. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Management, Applications Engineering, Purchasing/Planning and Manufacturing teams to execute standard and custom projects within the North American water/wastewater markets. The Project Engineer will prepare technical submittal packages, bills of material (“BOM”), component specifications and diagrams while maintaining high quality and accuracy, as well as providing support to engineers and shop personnel.

The position may be based out of our Vineland, New Jersey facility, and may require visit to customer sites from time to time.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare and assemble technical and engineering documents required for project submittals and operational and instruction manuals
• Provide guidance and support on any in-house assembly or design of mechanical systems
• Specify parts, create schematics, and generate the BOM documents for both standard and custom designs
• Read and interpret customer specifications from industrial or municipal customers
• Provide support at the time of equipment/factory testing
• Understand all drafting practices and procedures, plus the ability to perform and apply a variety of mathematical calculations and a thorough working knowledge of shop assembly processes
• Responsible for all project engineering and mechanical documentation administered over multiple projects, working with the appropriate Project Manager
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Ability and willingness to travel between facilities and, on occasion, to customer sites; and

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental engineering, or a similar field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, including mechanical, process, and electrical
• Good organizational, planning, and problem-solving capability
• Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills with effective use of visual aids
• Superior analytical abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
• Knowledge of Applicable Industrial Codes and Standards; and

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the municipal water and/or wastewater industries
• Experience in an applications or sales support role that included bidding and selling capital equipment
• Ability to identify and define system design requirements based on written and design specifications
• Previous management experience within an engineering capacity

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must have manual dexterity to operate the equipment and tools required for this position
• Must be able to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it responds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus; and
• Ability to look at computer monitors for much of the workday.
• Approximately 70% Office; and
• Approximately 30% Light Industrial - May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, chemicals, and industrial facilities. Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.

This is an exempt position. Compensation is dependent on skill level. The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 annually.Benefitspackage and incentives are provided. Wegenerally offeremployees working 21 hours per work or more medical, dental, vision, along with voluntary ancillary benefits. The Company has a 401(k)-match program and has company-paid life and AD&D insurance available for eligible employees.
