Job summary

Nautilus Homes in Sarasota, FL is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, learning every stage of custom residential construction.

You will help coordinate projects, review drawings, manage documentation, and develop practical solutions while gaining real-world experience that prepares you for future leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience through internships or entry-level roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Support Superintendent and Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Process and enter RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
• Track project schedules and construction progress
• Perform regular site visits to monitor quality and field coordination
• Help maintain accurate project records using construction management software
• Assist with material procurement and delivery coordination
• Identify potential issues early and help develop practical solutions

What You'll Do
