Job summary

Nautilus Homes in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who recently graduated in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. You will learn from experienced project managers and superintendents as you help deliver custom waterfront homes.

In this onsite, entry‑level role you will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, RFIs, submittals, and site visits. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, build strong relationships with trade partners, and grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Civil Eng, Building Construction, or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years construction experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; multitasking under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning and coordinating residential construction projects.
• Help maintain project schedules and monitor progress.
• Track budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and homeowners.
• Attend project meetings and document action items.
• Perform regular jobsite visits to monitor quality and safety.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, permits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Maintain organized project files using construction management software.
• Support problem-solving and keep projects moving forward.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of construction experience through internships or full‑time work
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working both in the office and on active construction sites
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore is a plus
• Valid driver's license
