Job summary

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Masthead International, Inc (MII) - 521 Tempe operations based in Tempe, AZ. This individual will assist in all rigging operations roles working with the oversight of a project manager as they advance to the point of overseeing their own projects.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Responsibilities
  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFI's and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
  • Assist in other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience supporting or managing construction projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
  • Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work including specifications for MII scopes of work.
  • Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
  • OSHA certification
  • Local to Tempe, AZ area
