Job summary

Planet Group in Shallotte, NC is seeking a Project Engineer to manage civil/site, landscape design, and related projects. The role involves planning, design, and execution with oversight of scope, technical specs, and estimates.

The ideal candidate holds a civil/environment/landscape degree with 6+ years of experience, is eligible for PE licensure, and has municipal and landscape design experience. A valid driver's license is required, with hybrid schedules offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant civil/site experience.
• PE licensure preferred or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
• Municipal experience preferred.
• Landscape design experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project scope and fee for services and assist the project team in communicating with the client and meeting contractual obligations to move a project forward.
• Design and maintain ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with local, state, and federal officials, and other outside agencies.
• Landscape design experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types.
• Supervise the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.

Job description

A Project Engineer responsible formanaging and overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of civil/site, landscape design, linear and some water/wastewater projects. Preparing and reviewing plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related toprojects. Your technicalexpertise, leadership abilities, and project management skills will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects.

Required:
