Job summary

raise consulting is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, scheduling, cost control, and field coordination on complex commercial projects in San Diego. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day execution, coordinate plans and building codes, and manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of Project Engineer experience and a degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience with HCAI, Medical Office, Life Sciences, or Higher Education projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day execution of complex commercial projects.
  • Interpret and coordinate plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
  • Assist with project scheduling, including CPM updates, pull plans, and production planning.
  • Support cost management, forecasting, change orders, and subcontract administration.
  • Maintain project logs, controls, meeting minutes, and monthly reporting.
  • Manage project documentation and drawings through Procore.
  • Assist with site logistics and coordination to support efficient field operations.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-builts, owner training, and turnover documentation.
  • Team-oriented, accountable, and committed to delivering quality work.
  • Humble, driven, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Receptive to mentorship from Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Takes ownership, solves problems thoughtfully, and maintains professionalism under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Education / Experience:
