Job summary

The Bell Company in Glen Allen, VA, with an initial assignment in Richmond, seeks a Project Engineer to join a dynamic, employee-owned team. The role offers a pay range of $55k-$80k per year and exposure to hospitals, labs, and large institutional projects across the East Coast.

As an engineer you will contribute to complex mechanical and plumbing scopes, benefit from ongoing professional development, and participate in an ESOP program with additional bonuses based on company performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; other relevant engineering or Construction Management considered.
  • Experience in project controls including submittals, change orders, POs, and material take-offs.
  • Willing to work varied hours and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Contractor self-perform mechanical and plumbing on complex industrial projects.
  • Oversee project controls, manage submittals, changes, and procurement.
  • Support engineering and field teams on hospitals, laboratories, and institutional sites.

THE REGIONAL OFFICE IS LOCATED IN GLEN ALLEN, VA WITH THE INITIAL ASSIGNMENT LOCATED IN RICHMOND. THE RATE OF PAY IS $55-$80k / YEAR

PAY RANGE

$55-$80k / YEAR FOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Requirements

This is a position for a contractor that is in the self-perform mechanical and plumbing trades on complex industrial, institutional and health care projects.

  • Candidates with a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering are preferred
  • Other engineering curriculum or Construction Management MAY be considered.
Experience
  • Candidates must demonstrate a past work history and their desire for a career in construction.
  • Entry Level candidates that meet the education requirements will be considered but previous experience in all facets of project controls such as submittal, change orders, purchase orders, material take offs and releases are required skills, is preferred.

Certifications
  • OSHA 30 hour required prior to start date (company will provide the online course at no cost to employee).
