Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Raleigh-531 operations based in Raleigh, NC. The role involves labor control, RFI/submittals, takeoffs, scheduling, punch lists, and QA/QC support in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ construction project experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Local Raleigh familiarity is preferred; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Raleigh-531 operations based in Raleigh, NC.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Experience with drywall, commercial/industrial construction preferred
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
• OSHA certification
• Local to Raleigh, NC
