Performance Contracting Group in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Project Engineer for our Raleigh-531 operations. You will assist in labor control, RFIs/submittals, and scheduling, coordinating with field teams to keep projects on track.

The role requires at least 2 years of construction project experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office. Local candidates preferred; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
• Understand how to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Raleigh-531 operations based in Raleigh, NC.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
• Works well under pressure and deadlines
• Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
• Experience with drywall, commercial/industrial construction preferred
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
• OSHA certification
• Local to Raleigh, NC
