The Axel Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for our Bucks County, PA office to support single-family residential projects from concept through construction documents.

The ideal candidate has a civil/structural engineering degree from ABET-accredited programs and an FE/EIT mindset. This in-office role emphasizes design, coordination with architects and builders, and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• FE/EIT certification or actively pursuing FE exam preferred.
• Knowledge of residential structural systems, construction methods, and building codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and prepare construction documents for single family residential projects, including roof, floor, and foundation plans.
• Prepare structural details, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Review drawings, permit submissions, and plan packages for accuracy and code compliance.
• Review shop drawings and assist with structural field repairs as needed.
• Work extensively in AutoCAD to create and modify construction documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, drafters, project managers, and builders throughout all phases of project development.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
• Support the design and construction process from concept through final documentation.
• Maintain professionalism and strong communication with clients and internal team members.

The Axel Group is seeking a Project Engineer for our client, a growing multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture firm located in Bucks County, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer interested in residential structural design to join a collaborative team supporting projects for some of the nation's largest homebuilders.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in Structural Engineering who enjoy the design side of engineering and want to gain hands on experience working on single family residential projects from concept through construction documentation.
