Accentuate Staffing is working with an established client in the automotive industry looking for a Project Engineer who wants to participate in the cradle-to-grave product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Leads or participates on projects from Design and Development to Manufacturing Release by creating project plans and timelines, communicating progress, overcoming roadblocks, and conducting design validation testing.
- Works alongside Manufacturing and Quality during the project design phase and handoff to ensure a smooth transition.
- Collaborates with Manufacturing and Quality to improve product design and processes.
- Creates test plans for products, performs tests, and writes reports.
- Manages Engineering Change Requests.
- Uses scientific approaches to problem solving, including design analysis, engineering calculations, and statistics.
- Researches and analyzes design proposals and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and assembly requirements.
- Specifies system components or directs modifications to ensure conformance with design and performance specifications.
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Investigates and resolves product issues, determining non-conforming modes and issuing corrective actions.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers and responds promptly to inquiries.
- Meets deadlines set by internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience and willingness to perform testing in a lab.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership qualities.
- Highly motivated, self-starter.
- Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Effective prioritization and planning skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus.
