Job summary

Palmer Companies, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Project Engineer to lead the design and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and production performance.

You will manage capital projects from concept through implementation, support new product launches, and partner with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Product Engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience leading manufacturing design and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and equipment, enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and production output.
  • Manage capital projects, including the design, development, procurement, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling to support new product introductions and production readiness.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Product Engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and ensure adherence to manufacturing procedures, standards, and work instructions.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
