Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking a Project Engineer to support ground-up commercial and industrial construction projects, including tilt-up buildings and warehouses. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to coordinate activities and manage project documentation.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, submittals, RFIs, and cost tracking while supporting scheduling, procurement, and field coordination on site.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in construction, ideally project engineer or coordination.
• Experience with ground-up commercial/industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor coordination.
• Understanding of project documentation, schedules, procurement, and cost tracking.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support ground-up commercial and industrial construction projects, including concrete tilt-up buildings, warehouses, distribution centers, and logistics facilities.

This position will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to coordinate project activities, manage construction documentation, and support successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience in ground-up commercial or industrial construction, with exposure to concrete tilt-up construction, structural steel, sitework, and MEP coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and administration.

• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, and project documentation.

• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.

• Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement, and material tracking.

• Support construction activities involving concrete tilt-up panels, foundations, slabs, structural steel, roofing, and site improvements.

• Track project schedules, milestones, and long-lead materials.

• Assist with change orders, cost tracking, subcontractor billing, and project budgets.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve project issues.

• Participate in subcontractor meetings, site walks, and project progress meetings.

• Assist with inspections, quality control, and construction documentation.

• Monitor project progress and identify potential scheduling or constructability concerns.

• Support site logistics, material deliveries, and construction sequencing.

• Maintain accurate project records, daily reports, and correspondence.

• Assist with punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of construction experience, preferably in a Project Engineer or construction coordination role.

• Experience or exposure to ground-up commercial or industrial construction.

• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor coordination.

• Basic knowledge of construction scheduling, procurement, and project cost tracking.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with project and field teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with concrete tilt-up construction, warehouses, distribution centers, or industrial facilities.

• Knowledge of foundations, concrete slabs, tilt-up panels, structural steel, roofing, and sitework.

• Experience supporting ground-up projects from sitework through closeout.

• Familiarity with subcontractor buyout, procurement, and project cost management.

• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction software.

• Experience working for a commercial or industrial general contractor.
