Job summary

RL Recruiting is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and per design specifications and quality standards.

• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Familiarity with construction documents and contracts.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, and scheduling tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all phases of construction projects, including pre-construction, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents
• Coordinate and track RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders
• Maintain project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and daily reports
• Support scheduling efforts and monitor project progress against milestones
• Collaborate with field teams and subcontractors to resolve technical and coordination issues
• Assist with cost control, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety programs
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Help manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout documentation

Job Title: Construction Project Engineer

• Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Experience with BIM/VDC tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)

Work Environment

• Combination of office and active construction site environments
• Frequent site visits with exposure to weather, noise, and heavy equipment
• May require travel or relocation depending on project needs
